A:​ The CariScholar mentorship program is a Caribbean-based mentoring initiative. Mentees (students/aspiring professionals) are paired with mentors (experienced academics/professionals) who can offer advice on education/career-related topics.

Q: Who can apply to be a mentor?
A:​ Potential mentors are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Generally, academic excellence and/or professional expertise qualify you to be short-listed. Other attributes are also taken into account.

Q: Who can apply to be a mentee?
A:​ Potential mentees are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Generally, we are looking for persons who demonstrate a genuine interest in furthering their academic/professional career. Please note, not every applicant will be matched to a mentor. CariScholar reserves the right to reject any application at our discretion.

Q: How do mentees communicate with mentors?
A:​ Mentors and mentees communicate via email.

Q: How long does the mentoring program lasts?
A:​ A typical CariScholar mentorship program lasts six (6) months.
